ALLIANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR FACULTY MEMBERS

The College of Wooster: During the 2010-11 academic year or thereafter and for one or two semesters, Wooster would like to host a faculty member who can contribute to teaching and scholarship in the area listed hereunder:
  • Global Environmental Studies - The college just started an Environmental Studies minor and is interested in further strengthening its global underpinnings.
Allegheny College is interested in creating a new Experiential Learning (EL) Seminar that focuses on the Middle East and North Africa, and is co-taught by faculty members from Allegheny and an Alliance institution in the region.  More broadly, Allegheny wishes to establish more EL Seminar opportunities outside Europe and North America, and collaborate with other Alliance institutions towards this end.  EL Seminars typically last for three weeks after graduation (the final two weeks of May and the first week of June) and preparation for these Seminars occurs during the preceding year.

ALLIANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADMINISTRATORS AND STAFF MEMBERS

Allegheny College wishes to send its staff members or administrators to Alliance institutions abroad for one week during the year, including the summer, or host their counterparts as well.  These visits could be to and from any country and in any office on campus.  This request is part of Allegheny’s internationalization efforts aimed at providing staff members and administrators who interact with students in myriad ways outside the classroom with meaningful international experiences.

Queries regarding any of the aforementioned opportunities should be directed to Adedayo Oluwakayode Adekson via electronic mail.
